Privacy Policy
Effective date: 2026-10-04
Bias Archive (the "Site") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information the Site collects, why, and how it is stored and deleted.
1. Information we collect
- You can use the Site without signing in; in that case we receive no account information.
- If you sign in with Google: your Google account ID, name, email address and profile picture URL. We only request basic profile access (openid, email, profile).
- What you save after signing in: idols, groups and videos you Like, and collection folders (folder names and the videos in them), with the time saved.
- We also save the order in which you ranked your liked idols as favorites (top picks).
- When you save a Like or favorite, we store your approximate country (2-letter country code) with that Like record. Your IP address and city are not stored.
- When you send a report or correction: the video URL, related member, issue type, your note and the time sent. We do not ask for your name or contact details.
- Automatically processed: your IP address and approximate country, used only to pick a language, hide videos blocked in your country, choose the "my country" order in TRENDING CAMS and the recommended order on the main page, and limit excessive requests. The Site does not store them, except for security: after failed admin logins or repeated access to admin addresses, we keep that IP address for up to 1 hour and a truncated IP address with its country for 40 days (to prevent abuse). Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) may process access logs for security and operations.
- Anonymous usage statistics: video plays, watch time and whether a video was watched to the end, profile visits, and on-site search terms with their result counts. These are stored only as daily totals per video, idol or search term (plays, watch time and profile visits also per country code) and are never linked to your account, IP address, cookies or anything else that identifies you. We use them to run the Site (for example popularity rankings) and delete them after 100 days.
2. How we use it
- Keeping you signed in and showing your name and email in the account menu
- Saving your Likes and collection folders and syncing them across devices
- Counting Likes, favorite rankings (including the country saved with them) and anonymous usage statistics only as totals that do not identify you (including per-country totals), and using them for popularity rankings and the recommended order on the main page and PICKS (visitor reaction score)
- Reviewing reports and adding, fixing or removing videos
- Operating and securing the Site (preventing abuse)
3. Retention and deletion
- Your name, email and picture are not stored in our database. They live inside a signed sign-in cookie in your browser for up to 90 days and are removed when you sign out.
- Likes (including the country code saved with them) and collection folders are stored on our server (Cloudflare KV) under your Google account ID until you delete your account, and are erased with it.
- How to delete: open the account menu at the top and choose "Delete account" — your Likes and collection folders are erased immediately and you are signed out. If you can't do this yourself, contact us below.
- Reports are deleted after they are handled; if more than 3,000 accumulate, the oldest are removed automatically.
- To revoke the Site's access from your Google account, visit Google Account permissions.
4. Third-party services
We do not sell your information or share it for advertising. We use the services below, whose providers may process information in the course of providing them. Their servers may be located outside your country (mainly in the United States).
- YouTube API Services: the Site uses YouTube API Services to fetch video information (titles, upload dates, view counts, etc.) and plays videos through the embedded YouTube player. By using the Site you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. The player and thumbnails are provided by Google; Google's handling of data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy. The Site does not access your YouTube account data.
- Google Sign-In (Google LLC): sign-in — Google Privacy Policy
- Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc.): hosting and data storage
- Google Fonts: web fonts (your IP address may be sent to Google when fonts load)
- Resend: emailing new reports to the operator (report contents only)
- Cloudflare Web Analytics: visit statistics (page views, referrers, device and country types, counted without cookies and without identifying you)
We do not share information beyond these purposes except where required by law.
5. Cookies and browser storage
- Cookies: kf_session (keeps you signed in, 90 days), kf_oauth (prevents forgery during sign-in, 10 minutes), lang (your chosen language, 1 year).
- Browser storage (localStorage): display settings such as theme, language, grid columns and autoplay. Stored only on your device and never sent to our server.
- We use no advertising or tracking cookies. The YouTube player is loaded in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com).
- You can clear cookies and storage in your browser settings; this resets your sign-in and display settings.
6. Your rights
You may ask at any time to access, correct, delete or stop the processing of your personal information. You can view and delete Likes and collection folders directly on the Site; for anything else, contact us below. We will respond without undue delay.
7. Children
Children under 14 should not use Google sign-in on the Site. If we learn that we hold information from a child under 14, we will delete it promptly.
8. Security
All traffic is encrypted with HTTPS, and sign-in cookies are signed, HttpOnly and Secure. Administrative functions require administrator authentication.
